Why merge PDFs without sending them to a server?

Sensitive documents like contracts and IDs shouldn't leave your device just to combine a few pages. NearPDF runs the entire merge process locally in your browser, so nothing is transmitted anywhere.

How it works

  1. Drop one or more PDF files onto the page — or paste them with Ctrl+V, or pick them with the file browser. Your browser reads them directly; there is no upload step.
  2. Every page of every file appears as a thumbnail in a single grid. Drag pages to reorder them, rotate any page in 90° steps, delete the ones you don't need, or click a page to inspect it full-size.
  3. Press Save. A background worker on your own device assembles the new PDF, so the page stays responsive even with large documents.
  4. Download the finished file. Nothing was transmitted at any point — when you close the tab, no copy exists anywhere but on your device.

One workspace, eight tools

Every NearPDF tool is this same page-grid workspace with a different final step, which has a practical upside: you don't have to pick the "right" tool up front. Start here, drop your files, then reorder, rotate and delete in one pass before saving once. Two limits are worth knowing about. Password-protected PDFs are skipped with a notice — remove the password in your PDF reader first if you need those pages. And file size is capped by device memory: up to 500 MB on desktop, but a more conservative 50 MB per file on phones and low-memory devices, so the browser tab doesn't crash mid-edit.

Is there a file size limit?

Desktop browsers can handle larger files; on mobile we apply a conservative limit to prevent crashes on lower-memory devices.

Do I need to create an account?

No. NearPDF works with zero sign-up, for unlimited use.

Can I reorder, rotate and delete pages in a single pass?

Yes. The workspace applies all your changes together when you save: drag pages into order, rotate some, delete others, then press Save once — no need to run three separate tools.

Does it work offline?

Once the page is loaded, all processing happens locally in your browser.
