Why delete PDF pages without uploading the file?

Removing a page — a stray cover sheet, an outdated appendix, a page with someone else's information on it — shouldn't require handing the whole document to a server first. NearPDF deletes pages locally, so the rest of the file never leaves your device either.

How it works

1. Drop your PDF — all of its pages appear as thumbnails.
2. Not sure about a page? Click it to open a full-size preview and page through the document before deciding.
3. Click the ✕ on each page you want gone (or focus it and press Delete). The remaining pages close ranks but keep their order.
4. Press Save and download the trimmed PDF.

Deleted means absent — not hidden

The saved file is built by copying only the pages you kept into a new PDF — so a deleted page isn't marked as hidden or left recoverable inside the file; it simply isn't in the output at all. That matters when the reason for deleting is sensitive: a page carrying someone else's data, a wrong attachment, an outdated price list. Two honest caveats. Your original file on disk is untouched (NearPDF never modifies it), so keeping or deleting that copy is up to you. And page deletion is not redaction — if the sensitive content sits on a page you're keeping, use a proper redaction workflow rather than covering it up.

Can I see a page before deciding to delete it?

Yes — click any thumbnail to open a full-size preview, then use its delete button if it's the page you want gone.

Does deleting pages change the order of the ones that remain?

No — the pages that stay keep their original order unless you also drag them into new positions.

I deleted the wrong page — can I undo it?

There's no undo button in the workspace yet, but nothing is lost: your original file is never modified. Go back, add the file again, and redo the deletion.

Does it work offline?

Once the page is loaded, all processing happens locally in your browser.
